       近日美國最受歡迎醫生Dr. Oz在他的節目"Dr.Oz Show"里透露每天吃兩片gouda cheese之類的 hard cheese可以防癌。此話一出,美國超市里的本來不是很受大眾歡迎的gouda cheese 馬上大賣,甚至有短貨的趨勢。很多人表示不是很喜歡gouda cheese的味道也要買來吃。如果有條件的話,建議大家也買來吃吃。

       如果大家不太知道誰是Dr. Oz,這裡做個簡單的介紹,Dr. Oz是美國一名內科醫生,因常常上美國最著名脫口秀黑人主持Oprah Winfrey的節目而被廣大美國人所認識。節目里Dr. Oz給濄大家很多養生之道,很多健康貼士,讓大家在不同角度重新認識疾病。去年有了自己的節目,叫"Dr. Oz Show". Oprah稱他為美國最受歡迎的醫生。

Dr Oz: Gouda Cheese Prevents Cancer

Dr William Li told Dr Oz that his tip for how to prevent cancer is to eat a hard cheese like Gouda Cheese, because it has a special vitamin in it called Vitamin K2 that inhibits cancer cells from growing. By eating just 2 slices of Gouda a day, your overall risk of cancer decreases but especially your risk for Lung Cancer (the number one cancer killer in women) and Prostate Cancer. Also, Dr Li said that if you are worried about cheese causing Heart Attacks and Heart Disease, Vitamin K2 also protects your heart by protecting your arteries from hardening. Dr William Li said that other hard cheese besides for Gouda work as well like Jarlsburg Cheese, Emmental Cheese and Edam Cheese.

Dr Oz: Exercise Prevents Cancer

Dr Ilana Cass said that exercise and maintaining a healthy body weight can help prevent cancer. At a minimum, you want to raise your heart rate 3 times a week for 30 minutes. The best is to aim for 45-60 minutes of vigorous exercise, but even moderate exercise helps. So, take a brisk walk and keep your weight down to help reduce your risk of cancer.

Dr Oz: Grilled Meat Causes Cancer

Dr Dara Richardson-Heron told Dr Oz that you should limit your intake of pan-fried and grilled meats, because when you heat the meat under such high heat, cancer causing chemicals attach to the food. You should avoid grilled fish, chicken, beef and pork (so basically all forms of protein). Dr Richardson-Heron said that the charred black areas (the part that tastes the best unfortunately!) are the worst for you. If you have to grill your meat, then marinate it and precook it at least so that it is on the grill for less time. Low heat is the best way to cook you meat such as steaming, broiling or low heat sauteing. Instead, try grilling fruits and vegetables. One more tip, if you insist on using a grill, cover the grate with aluminum foil and poke holes in it so that you get less cancer causing chemicals in your food.
